As a native San Franciscan and a daughter of District 5, I have consistently fought for issues that affect our City’s most vulnerable. Public service is no stranger to me, and over the past four years as Supervisor, I have worked diligently to ensure that all voices are heard and that our City strives to serve residents with fairness and compassion.
It is no secret that there is a housing affordability crisis that we must continue to address. I am proud to have led efforts to encourage more affordable housing while preserving the integrity of our neighborhoods. Additionally, I’ve secured millions of dollars to refurbish unused public housing units and make them available to homeless families.
San Francisco is a city like no other. We are also a city of hard working residents who deserve the highest integrity in their elected officials. As Board President, I take my role very seriously.
I have consistently been an effective and innovative legislator. I successfully passed 3rd-in-the-country legislation to provide safe, convenient disposal of unwanted medications, a program that has already kept over 23 tons of pharmaceuticals out of the Bay or landfill. I wrote first-in-the-country legislation to protect our City’s music venues. I’ve helped to improve our ambulance response times and implemented plans to secure improvements to our public transportation system. And after 12 years of infighting and delays, I made San Francisco’s clean energy program happen—the single most important thing our City can do to combat climate change.
I understand that I can’t accomplish this without your support. As we look toward the future, I will roll up my sleeves and continue to champion our City’s most important issues. I hope you’ll join me in my campaign to continue my service to San Francisco.
